A 10 day tour to discover the most important archaeological sites of the Mayan World and the beautiful nature the regions have to offer. Visit the historic cities of Chichén-Itzá and other important Mayan architectural sites. Explore the city of Cienfuegos, which is a rich blend of culture and history. You can also enjoy the beauty of the Cienfueguera Bay, a natural ecosystem of Mexico with abundant flora and fauna. The next leg takes us to Trinidad, Sancti Spíritus and Santa Clara. Your trip comes to an end in Varadero from where you will depart home.
Day 01: Arrival in Mexico
Arrival to Mexico City and transfer to the hotel for overnight stay
Day 02: Teotihuacan
Breakfast at the hotel. Today, we visit the site of Teotihuacan, Guadalupe Shrine and Three Culture Square: Few cities in the world have been considered worthy of being inhabited by gods, who are accustomed to occupying loftiier realms than those people by mere mortals. It was the most prestigious city of the Classical period. Guadalupe Shrine: Over 460 years ago, the legend says that this place was blessed with the appearance of Virgin Mary to an Aztec Indian in Mexico. Return to the hotel.
Day 03: Mexico – Merida
Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to the airport to take flight to Merida (FLIGHT TICKET IS NOT INCLUDED IN PRICES). Arrival in Merida and transfer to the Hotel. Rest of the day at leisure in Merida.
Day 04: Chichen-Itzá – Cancun
Breakfast at the hotel. Departure to Chichén-Itzá, In this place, declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, you will be transported to pre-Hispanic times. You will visit, among other buildings The Pyramid of Kukulkan, one of the most iconic examples of Maya architecture of all time. Each year, during the spring and autumn equinoxes, the famous feathered serpent slides down the steps of the temple showcasing the precise coordina,on with which the Maya were able to harmonize nature and their surroundings. Transfer to Cancun for overnight stay
Day 05: Havana
Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to the airport to take flight to La Havana (FLIGHT TICKET IS NOT INCLUDED IN PRICES). Arrival in Havana and transfer to the Hotel. Rest of the day at leisure.
Day 06: Cienfuegos
Breakfast at the hotel. Departure to the city of Cienfuegos, called the Pearl of the South, which highlights the perfect layout of its streets and buildings of high architectural value, which reveal the splendor of a culture with a strong French accent. Visit the Tomas Terry Theater and the Valle Palace, where you will learn about the beautiful legend that is associated with construction. Lunch in a restaurant of the zone.
In the afternoon visit and enjoy one of the most unique ecosystems of our country Located to the southeast of the beautiful Cienfueguera Bay where you can see the colonies of Pink Flamingos, Florida ducks and other migratory species. It is also the largest shrimp farm in Cienfuegos. Boating by the natural lagoon or promenade for enjoyment of the area. Dinner at the hotel
Day 07: Trinidad – Sancti Spíritus
Breakfast at the hotelDeparture towards Trinidad, a city that with its streets tied to the middle, its Plaza Mayor and its architecture seems to have stopped in the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries, and was declared in 1988, by UNESCO a World Heritage Site. Visit the RomanAc Museum and the Bar La Canchánchara, where you can taste a typical welcome drink. Continue the journey to Sancti Spiritus. Lunch and dinner included
Day 08: Sancti Spíritus – Santa Clara
Breakfast at the hotel. Departure to Santa Clara. Panoramic tour through the mountainous Escambray mountain range, one of the most important mountain ranges in the country; passing through Manicaragua, settlement of communities of cultivators of the famous Cuban tobacco and the rich coffee. In transit, you can see the tobacco plantations of the area. Walk along Lake Hanabanilla, Cuba’s only mountain lake. Lunch at a local restaurant. Continue the trip to Santa Clara. Dinner at the hotel
Day 09: Santa Clara – Varadero
Breakfast at the hotel. Tour of the city of Santa Clara, the capital of central Cuba, with a tour of the patrimonial route of the city, which includes the Carmen Park where the villa was founded in 1685 and Leoncio Vidal Park. Visit Ernesto Che Guevara Square, a meeting place with one of the most prominent and charismatic personalities in contemporary world history, where the Museum and the Memorial that bears his name are located. Visit to the monument to the action against the Armored Train. Lunch in a restaurant of the zone. Continue to Varadero for overnight stay.
Day 10: Departure
Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to the airport for the flight home.
