Mongolia is truly one of the world’s last undiscovered travel destinations and the safest country to visit. It is a land where you can experience wide-open spaces, cobalt blue skies, forests, deserts, crystal clear rivers and lakes, and the traditional hospitality of the nomads. Meet one of the last nomadic cultures on earth, where a traditional way of life endures as it did a millennium ago. Just three million people inhabit a country the size of Western Europe, half of them still living in portable felt tents called Ger and moving seasonally with their animals. The tour takes 6 days to cover southern part of Mongolia and visit the most popular travel destinations including the most interesting national parks, Gobi Desert, distinctive landscapes of towering sand dunes, wide open steppes, Iced Gorges, Rocky mountains, red cliffs, stunning sunsets, sunrises and much more! Your activities will also include camel riding, climbing sand dunes and hiking. Relax in the midst of wild nature and explore Mongolian culture, history and nomadic life style.
Day 01: Arrival in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia
Whenever your international ﬂight lands in Ulaanbaatar, your tour guide will be ready to welcome you at the arrival hall, to transfer you to your hotel with a private car and driver. They will help you with luggage and hotel check-in. The rest of the day is free for you to be on your own. You may need some time to relax and recover from the long-distance ﬂight or possibly from jet-lag.
Day 02: Flight to the Gobi Desert – Visit Yol Valley
Transfer to the airport for morning ﬂight to Dalanzadgad, which is a small town of Gobi. Upon arrival, your Gobi tour guide will be waiting for you at arrivals and drive to the Ger camp to relax and lunch. In the afternoon, your wonderful trip starts to the Yol valley situated in “Three beauties of Gobi” Mt. National Park. Yol means Lammergeyer, one of the most endangered bird species of prey. The valley is notable for a deep ice ﬁeld.it remains frozen for most of the year, except late summer. There we will make little hiking through grassy meadows, small streams, long and narrow valley with sheltered by high cliff walls, sunlight bouncing off amazing rocks, covered with wild ﬂowers and Gobi plants. You may be lucky enough to spot wild sheep and goat, grazing high on the cliff walls. Stay overnight at tourist Ger camp.
Day 03: Khongor Sand Dunes
After breakfast we will drive west to the extraordinary sand dunes of Khongor. This is one of the most scenic areas of Gobi. The dunes rise abruptly from the plain, in some places reaching a height of 300 meters, and extend over an area between 2-12 km in width and 180 km in length. In the evening, we will climb up to the Singing Dune, one of the highest dunes, opportunity to see the breathtaking view of the surrounding area and amazing sunshine panorama of sand dunes. When it is windy some of the dunes give a strange sound like the engines of an aero plane, for which they are named the “singing dunes”.

Day 04: Visit camel herder family & camel trail-Bayanzag (Flaming Cliffs) – Gobi Oasis camp
In the morning, we will visit camel herder family in their Ger, explore their unique nomadic lifestyle. Its chance to try drinking Hormog (fermented Mongolian camel milk).The Khongor Sand Dunes are the perfect place for camel riding. We will discover this magniﬁcent place on camel back. Mongolia is home to 2/3 of the two-humped Bactrian camels in the world. It is a gentle, calm and extraordinary patient animal and can carry on without water for a month. Bet, you never rode a Bactrian camel, riding a Bactrian camel is much more comfortable than the camel in Sahara, India or anywhere else. Its two humps support you from both sides and easy pace will comfort you so much. After lunch we will drive to the ﬂaming, red cliffs at Bayanzag – is a famous for the ﬁrst discovery of dinosaur eggs, bones and complete dinosaur skeletons which is ﬁrst discovered by Roy Chapman Andrews, American expedition in the 1920. Also, this area well known for red tall rocks formed as a result of wind and water erosion which look like ﬁre in the middle of the desert from distance. We will ﬁnd an egg and bones of dinosaurs around Bayanzag. White fossilized bones are still found nowadays. Stay and overnight at tourist Ger camp.
Day 05: Fly back to UB – Classic Highlights in Ulaanbaatar
In the morning, return ﬂight to Ulaanbaatar. Upon arrival we will visit “Gandan” Monastery, Mongolia’s largest functioning Buddhist monastery. Listen to the horns calling lamas and monks to temple, and capture the monks’ daily rituals while visiting the adjoining Megjid Janraisig and Temples. The temple houses features a 26-meter-high majestic gilded statue of Migjid Janraisig. After lunch we will visit the National Museum of Mongolia – this museum
presents Mongolian history and culture from prehistoric times to the present day. Next stop is The Genghis Square – lies at the heart of the city. There is a large construction site of massive bronze statues of Genghis Khan and his four warriors in front of Parliament House.
In the late afternoon is your optional shopping tour for souvenirs and local products. Suggested shopping places are State department store, famous “Gobi” cashmere factory store and “Naran Tuul” Black market. In the early evening, we will visit “Wonders of Mongolia” folklore show by famous Tumen-Ekh ensemble – is one of the most successful folk art groups to share traditional Mongolian music with the world, having traveled to over 40 countries.
Farewell dinner at “Bd’s Mongolian Barbeque” international chain restaurant. Stay overnight at the hotel.
Day 06: Departure
As your Mongolia trip comes to end, your tour guide, driver and car will pick you up from your hotel and transfer you to Chinggis Khaan International Airport for your departure ﬂight home. The guide will assist you with ﬂight check-in and luggage, and see you off at the point of security check.
