This 5 day tour covers one of the best travel destinations of Mongolia in the shortest possible time. We give you the finest local and cultural experiences in this Mongolian Tour.  Your itinerary will include the most exotic tour destinations including UNESCO World Heritage Sites, Khustai National Park & Wild horse Park, Karakorum – ruins and museum of the ancient Mongolian capital, Elsen Tasarkhai sand dunes – Unique area combining forest and Gobi sand dunes, the famous and oldest Monastery Erdene-Zuu – Mongolian Buddhist culture experience and much more!

Day 01: Arrival in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia

Whenever your international flight lands in Ulaanbaatar, your tour guide will be ready to welcome you at the arrival hall, to transfer you to your hotel with a private car and driver. They will help you with luggage and hotel check-in. The rest of the day is free for you to be on your own. You may need some time to relax and recover from the long-distance flight or possibly from jet-lag.

Day 02: Elsen Tasarkhai Sand dunes – Ancient capital Karakorum & Erdene Zuu Monastery

After breakfast, drive to Elsen tasarkhai sand dunes – surrounded by hills with willow trees, streams and bushes, and appear as a small desert in the center of the country. This sand dune is 80km long and the widest part of the sand dune is 9-10 km. The sand dunes are the perfect place for camel riding. After lunch, we will discover this magnificent place on camel back. Mongolia is home to 2/3 of the two-humped Bactrian camels in the world. It is a gentle, calm and extraordinary patient animal and can carry on without water for a month. Bet, you never rode a Bactrian camel, riding a Bactrian camel is much more comfortable than the camel in Sahara, India or anywhere else. Its two humps support you from both sides and easy pace will comfort you so much. Continue driving to to Karakorum and Erdenezuu Monastery, visit museum of Karakorum and the symbolic ruins of ancient city of Mongol Empire, which was the largest contiguous empire in the World history. This city founded by Great king Genghis Khan in the 13th century and lately was moved to Khanbalig (modern Beijing) by Kublai Khan, greatest of the successors of Genghis Khan and founder of the Mongol (Yuan) dynasty in China. Also visit to the magnificent and the oldest Buddhist Monastery complex of Erdene Zuu, built in the 16th century, with 108 stupas. Here you can see interesting listen to monk chanting Buddhist sutras. Stay overnight at tourist Ger camp.

Day 03: Hustai National Park (Wild Horse Park)

In the morning, we will drive to the Hustai National Park. This area is home to the Mongolian wild horse known as Perzevalski horse (takhi) with unique landscape that features mountain and steppe. National park has 450 species of vascular plants, 200 of which are medicinal. After lunch at Hustai Ger camp, we will visit the small Ger museum about the national park and wild horse. In early evening, we will take short driveto see for wild horse Takhi. There is great opportunity to take photo for these endangered horses. If you are lucky, you can see fox, deer, roe deer, eagle, and more animals and birds… Stay overnight at tourist Ger camp in National Park area.

Day 04: Classic highlights in Ulaanbaatar City Trip

After a relaxing breakfast, we will drive back to Ulaanbaatar and start guided city tour, visit “Gandan” Monastery, Mongolia’s largest functioning Buddhist monastery. Listen to the horns calling lamas and monks to temple, and capture the monks’ daily rituals while visiting the adjoining Megjid Janraisig and Temples. The temple houses features a 26- meter-high majestic gilded statue of Migjid Janraisig.
After lunch at “Modern Nomads” restaurant, we will visit Genghis square & Parliament House and the National Museum to get an overview of Mongolia’s history and culture.
 In the late afternoon is your optional shopping tour for souvenirs and local products. Suggested shopping places are State department store, famous “Gobi” cashmere factory store and “Naran Tuul” Black market. In the early evening, we will visit “Wonders of Mongolia” folklore show by famous Tumen-Ekh ensemble – is one of the most successful folk art groups to share traditional Mongolian music with the world, having traveled to over 40 countries. Farewell dinner at “Bd’s Mongolian Barbeque” international chain restaurant. Stay overnight at the hotel.

Day 05: Departure

As your Mongolia trip comes to end, your tour guide, driver and car will pick you up from your hotel and transfer you to Chinggis Khaan International Airport for your departure flight home. The guide will assist you with flight check-in and luggage, and see you off at the point of security check.
