5 Ways to celebrate Halloween in Singapore this year!

As you already know, Halloween Horror Nights (hosted by Universal Studios Singapore) is not happening this year. Due to this, many of us are creeping around and looking for things to do to celebrate Halloween.
Well, look no further as we have done some research to give you 5 ways to celebrate Halloween in Singapore this 2020!
1. Halloween fun at Universal Studios Singapore

Date: 17 September – 01 November 2020
Halloween Fun at Universal Studios Singapore is a family-friendly Halloween event. This is hosted this year at Universal Studios Singapore in place of Halloween Horror Night and it’s sure to be as enjoyable for everyone in the family.
Illumination’s Minion Monsters make their return and you can trick or treat with your favorite characters such as Frankenbob, Mummy Stuart, and Dracula Kevin.
You are also encouraged to dress up in your favorite costumes as there will be a Costume Contest where you stand to win prizes!
2. Deep BOO Sea at S.E.A Aquarium

Date: 19 September – 3 November 2020
You can celebrate this year’s Halloween at the Deep BOO Sea at S.E.A Aquarium both promising an exhilarating and fruitful unique experience.
As this is a family-friendly event, your kids are bound to have a blast and OR a scare as they face some of nature’s scariest looking marine animals and fishes.
There will also be trick or treating throughout the aquarium and a best-dressed contest to win prizes so dress your best people!
3. ACM After Dark: Heroes and Villians at Asian Civilisations Museum

Date: 31 October 2020
ACM After Dark: Heroes and Villians is a free admission virtual event happening at various timings held by the Asian Civilisations Museum where you and your family (yes, family-friendly!) can celebrate Halloween at the comfort of your own home.
Dive into their galleries and exhibits where you will uncover the stories and heritage of the respective heroes and villains featured at the ACM.
4. ArtScience on Scream

Date: 10 October – 6 November 2020
ArtScience on Scream is a limited screening event that showcases the 100th anniversary of the iconic restored 1920 film: The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari.
Furthermore, they are also screening a series of short chilling to the core modern horror films by David Lynch.
With limited screening and walk-ins, it’s highly recommended to book your tickets quick to snag up a spot to watch the film.
5. Netflixing at home

Yes, you heard me right! You can celebrate Halloween this year by staying home and watching either some classic horror films or even Netflix’s Original movies.
Given the Covid19 situation, 2020 already has been a horror to most of us, and watching some horror films under the blanket wouldn’t be too bad.
Some Netflix Horror Originals that you can check out if you haven’t are The Ritual, Mark of the Devil, The Influence, In the Tall Grass, The Open House, Little Evil, The Maid, and many more.
