Spring.

What a splendid season, where winter has passed, plants grow and flowers start to bloom. Many of us would love to go on short trips or holidays to celebrate springtime but due to the certain circumstances of the pandemic, we’ll be stuck celebrating springtime in our motherlands. Instead of crying over split milk, why not rediscover our own country during the various seasons and see what Singapore has to offer?

Read on as we’ve done some research to show you how you can rediscover Singapore in 2021 Spring!

1. Picnic by the beach

Singapore is filled with beaches and parks throughout the country. Notable mentions are the famed East Coast Park, Sentosa, Sembawang Park, and West Coast Park.
The weather during Springtime is neither too warm nor too cold, thus attracting people to spend more time outdoors.

An example would be Japan, where it’s considered the best time to visit Japan, to visit the notorious cherry blossoms, and have picnics outdoors.

So why not celebrate the season of Spring by having a picnic by the beach or the park with your friends and loved ones, either way wherever you prefer, you’re bound to have a good time.

2. Leisure bike ride

Following up on the first point, a fantastic way to burn off those calories after you’ve had a scrumptious picnic meal would be to have a leisure bike ride!

If you’re already at the park/beach, bike rental shops shouldn’t be too far away to be located. While also being an efficient mode of transportation throughout the park, you’ll be catching picturesque views while enjoying the breeze at one time.

Catching the scenic views of the park while burning calories, it’s killing two birds with one stone and a no-brainer.

3. Have a hike

Some of us travel overseas to enjoy hiking trips across the country.
While Singapore may not have the best hiking trails or mountains, we certainly have some amazing trails.

Some examples are Macritchie Reservoir, Coney Island, Thomson Nature Park, Kranji Marshes, and the Bukit Timah nature reserve.
Keep an eye out and you may find flora and fauna situated at the various hiking/walking trails.

4. Visit the gardens

While we can’t visit Japan to see the Cherry blossoms, there are alternatives.
Of course, a brilliant way to rediscover Singapore would be to visit the magnificent gardens that Singapore has to offer.

Singapore Botanic Gardens, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is filled with its charms and agriculture development.

Another garden would be the renowned Gardens by the Bay, a showcase of garden artistry and floral displays.

Nature-lover or not, you’ll be in good hands.

5. Flower-Shopping

If you still cannot get enough of the flora, rediscover Singapore in Spring 2021 by going flower-shopping!

Singapore is filled with spectacular florist shops, while some of them are online-based companies. Some Singapore florists that you can consider visiting are Wonderland Botanicals, Little flower hut, Floral Garage, Petite Fleur Singapore, and the Floral Atelier. You can even find florists at your local neighborhood shophouses and support them.

Flowers are a great gift, be it for a friend, colleague, or loved one.
