Itinerary
Upon arrival at Tan Son Nhat International Airport, meet and greet by local tour guide & transfer to the city center. Afternoon, you will enjoy a half-day city tour of Saigon. Visit Notre Dame Cathedral of Saigon (outside), one of the oldest churches and the top famous attractions in Ho Chi Minh City, the cathedral's distinctive neo-Romanesque features include the all-red brick façade. Check out the Old Post Office, a fantastic French Colonial architecture building having Roman arches and gilded glass windows. Lastly, visit the War Remnant Museum. Known as the Museum of Chinese and American War Crimes, the War Remnants Museum is consistently the most popular museum in HCMC. Overnight in Saigon.
After breakfast, proceed to Cu Chi Tunnels – a network of tunnels more than 200km long and 3 – 8 m deep, dug during the warfare days and is about 70km northwest of the city. Afterwards, back to Ho Chi Minh. After lunch, transfer to Vung Tau. Dinner and overnight in Vung Tau.
After breakfast & check-out. Enjoy a short city tour of Vung Tau. Visit Whale Temple, a colorful affair, dating to 1832; and it has fanciful murals depicting whales battling with sea monsters. St. Jacque Janeiro - The Christ the King statue is located at Ha Long Street near the tip of an 18-km-long peninsula hugging the South East Sea. Visit the White Palace, a distinct white building with a beautiful serene location with a great number of historical secrets. After lunch in Vung Tau, transfer back to Saigon, and pass by The People’s Committee Hall (outside) - one of the oldest, biggest, and most beautiful French-style buildings in Ho Chi Minh City, functioning both as a city institution and as the city’s most prominent landmark today. Get to see the French Opera House (outside) which stands the magnificent Saigon Opera House with the iconic Caryatid statues. Overnight in Saigon.
Breakfast at the hotel. Enjoy a Mekong delta excursion to My Tho - about 75km from the city. On the way, visit Vinh Trang Pagoda, the greatest pagoda of Tien Giang Province. Take a leisurely boat ride along the river and visit Thoi Son Islet and The Fruit Garden to enjoy the fresh fruit. Enjoy Vietnamese local food served with special “Elephant Ear Fish”. Shopping time at Ben Thanh Market and end the day. Overnight in Saigon.
Have breakfast at the hotel. Free at leisure then transfer to the airport for the flight home.
