Departure anytime from Quito by plane to Manta. Early flight of about 40 minutes. In Manta, assistance, and transfer from the airport to Puerto Lopez using the “sun route highway” with a refreshing view of the sea during the whole time. On the way, we have visits to the small villages and also the true Panama Hats factories. This is one of the places where these hats are handmade in our country. Also, we will have the opportunity to see beautiful flowers and one of our special trees, the ivory nut called Tagua which is also known as Mococha when it is unprocessed. After breakfast, we will start visiting Machalilla National Park. This is a unique park islander located on the mainland. Here you will have the opportunity to observe a combination of different habitats and also Columbian archaeology. Also, we find some coastal fishing villages. From Puerto Lopez to the north, about 5 Km we have Agua Blanca Community. This is a field strewn with pottery shards that are still being recovered, these ruins are clearly identified belonging to cultures Salangome / Manteña, the capital of the ancient manor of the same name. Here we observe the tropical dry primary forest. During the tour, we will find a gap in sulfur water in its natural state (there is the possibility of swimming there. Water is good for health). After this visit, we will go to Los Frailes beach where we enjoy its soft white sand almost natural state, and some swimming. Also, we will go to the viewpoint of boobies. Return to Puerto Lopez. After breakfast, depart and take the yacht to sail in direction of the Isla de la Plata. Sailing time is about 2 ½ hours (15 miles). During our sailing time the months of June to October, we can see dolphins and humpback whales. These humpback whales arrive from Antarctica for mating season and having their babies. Upon arriving at the island disembark in Drake Bay. We will enjoy a walk of about three hours along with our naturalist guide. Here we have the opportunity to observe the tropical dry forest and colonies of blue-footed, red-footed, and masked boobies. Also, we will have free time for snorkeling. Return to the mainland.
