This Japan Tour from Singapore follows a 7-day route through Tokyo, Mount Fuji, Lake Kawaguchi and Kyoto during the cherry blossom season. - Arrive in Tokyo according to your flight schedule and make your own way to your hotel. The remainder of the day is free for you to settle in.
- Japan's capital is a major centre for culture, art and technology, with museums, galleries, theatres, shopping districts and a wide range of dining experiences. Tokyo will be your base for the first part of the tour before travelling to the Mount Fuji region and Kyoto.

- Spend the day discovering Tokyo's cherry blossom locations, historic landmarks and modern city life.
- Begin at Ueno Park, one of Tokyo's largest parks and a major location for cherry blossom viewing. The park has more than 1,300 cherry trees and is also home to several museums and galleries, including the Tokyo National Museum (close every Monday) and the National Museum of Western Art.
- Next, visit Senso-ji Temple, also known as Asakusa Kannon Temple. Built in 628 AD, it is one of Japan's oldest temples and has more than 1,300 years of history. See important structures including Kaminarimon Gate, the bell tower, five-storey pagoda and main hall. The surrounding area also offers opportunities to photograph Senso-ji Temple with the Tokyo Skytree.
- In the afternoon, visit Meiji Jingu Shrine, dedicated to Emperor Meiji and Empress Shoken. Walk through the large wooden Torii gate, see the Sake Barrel Wall along the approach and observe traditional purification customs before worship. Meiji Inner Garden and the Meiji Jingu Museum are optional visits at your own expense.
- Complete the day at Shibuya Crossing, one of Tokyo's busiest and most recognisable intersections. If interested, you may also see the nearby bronze Hachiko Statue, created in memory of the famous dog known for his loyalty.

- Leave Tokyo for a full day trip to the Mount Fuji and Lake Kawaguchi region.
- Mount Fuji, standing at 3,776 metres, is Japan's tallest mountain and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The mountain has long been an important cultural and spiritual symbol in Japan and is recognised for its distinctive cone shaped peak.
- Travel towards Arakurayama Sengen Park, a popular location for early blooming sakura. The park is home to Kawazu zakura, known for its large pink blossoms, and provides views that can bring together Mount Fuji, cherry blossoms and the five storey pagoda when conditions allow.
- Take a hike of approximately 15 to 20 minutes to Arakurayama Sengen Shrine, dedicated to the mountain god, and continue to the Red Fuji Observation Deck.
- Later, travel to Lake Kawaguchi, one of the Fuji Five Lakes. Take the included cruise on the lake and, depending on weather conditions, see Mount Fuji from the water before returning to Tokyo for the night.

- Travel from Tokyo to Kyoto by Shinkansen bullet train. Your driver will take the group to Tokyo Station, where you board the train for the approximately 2.5 hour journey to Kyoto.
- Upon arrival, meet your driver and transfer to the hotel for check-in.
- Kyoto was once the capital of Japan and remains closely associated with temples, gardens, shrines, imperial palaces and historic architecture. The city is home to 17 UNESCO World Heritage Sites and offers a strong contrast to Tokyo's modern urban environment.
- The remainder of the day is free for independent time. You may take a walk along the Kamo River or follow part of the Philosopher's Path, a stone path beside a canal lined with cherry trees.

- Start the day at Kiyomizudera Temple, a UNESCO World Heritage Site in eastern Kyoto. The temple is recognised for its large wooden stage and main hall, constructed without the use of nails. Discover the temple grounds, including Jishu Shrine, Otowa Waterfall and the Tainai-Meguri spiritual experience, before enjoying the included sakura ice cream.
- Walk through Ninenzaka and Sannenzaka, two preserved sloping streets lined with traditional shops and tea houses, before travelling to Maruyama Park for cherry blossom viewing. The park is known for its large weeping cherry tree.
- Later, spend time in Gion, a historic Kyoto district associated with geiko and maiko traditions. Walk through streets lined with preserved machiya townhouses, ochaya tea houses and traditional restaurants.
- Complete the day with a traditional Japanese tea ceremony, following the established rituals and learning about the philosophy behind this important cultural tradition before returning to your hotel.

- Begin at Kinkakuji Temple, also known as the Golden Pavilion and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Its upper two floors are covered in gold leaf, and the temple was originally built in 1397 as a retirement villa for Shogun Ashikaga Yoshimitsu before becoming a Zen temple.
- Continue to Nijo Castle, the former Kyoto residence of Tokugawa Ieyasu. Enter Ninomaru Palace, known for its Kano school paintings and "nightingale floors", which were designed to make sounds when walked upon. Nijo Castle is also associated with the 1867 restoration of imperial rule and the end of the Tokugawa shogunate.
- In the afternoon, travel to the Arashiyama area. Depending on Sakura-season ticket availability, experience either the Sagano Scenic Railway for approximately 25 to 30 minutes or a Yakatabune Houseboat ride of approximately 30 minutes along the Hozugawa River. The exact experience depends on ticket availability and cannot be guaranteed in advance.
- Walk through the Arashiyama Bamboo Grove, then visit Tenryuji Temple, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Kyoto's important Zen temples. Conclude the day at Togetsukyo Bridge before returning to Kyoto.
