- Welcome to Cairo, Egypt’s lively capital, where modern city life meets a history stretching back thousands of years. Upon arrival at Cairo International Airport, a representative will meet you in the international arrivals hall, assist with arrival formalities and accompany you to your hotel in a private, air-conditioned vehicle. Hotel check-in is scheduled for 3:00 PM, giving you time to settle in after your journey.

- After breakfast, meet your English-speaking Egyptologist for a day exploring some of Egypt’s most recognised historical landmarks. At the Giza Plateau, see the Great Pyramids of Cheops, Chephren and Mykerinos, monuments built for the pharaohs that continue to reflect the ambition and skill of ancient Egyptian civilisation. The visit also includes the monumental Sphinx and Valley Temple, adding further insight into the traditions surrounding the pyramid complex.
- Continue to the Egyptian Museum at Tahrir Square, home to an extensive collection of artefacts and relics spanning thousands of years of Egyptian history. After exploring the collection, return to your Cairo hotel.
- For the evening, you may choose an optional dinner cruise on the Nile, featuring a belly dance and folklore show, or attend a Sound and Light Show at an additional cost.

- Continue to your Nile cruise ship and check in before lunch on board. Settle into life on the river, with dinner and an overnight stay on the cruise ship as your journey through Egypt’s historic Nile region begins.
