- Arrive at Cairo International Airport, where a representative will meet you in the international arrival hall with a sign bearing your name. You will be assisted with the arrival formalities before continuing to your hotel by air-conditioned vehicle. After check-in from 15:00, the rest of the day is free to settle in and begin your stay in Cairo, the starting point for your journey through Egypt's ancient landmarks and the Nile Valley. You have the option to add the Sound and Light Show in the evening at additional cost.

- After breakfast, meet your representative at the hotel before setting out with your English-speaking Egyptologist for a full day of Cairo sightseeing. Begin at the Giza Pyramids, where the Great Pyramids of Cheops, Chephren and Mykerinus stand as some of the most recognised monuments of ancient Egypt. Continue to the Sphinx and Valley Temple, then travel to Tahrir Square to visit the Egyptian Museum, home to an extensive collection of Egyptian artefacts representing thousands of years of history. After the day's discoveries, return to your Cairo hotel. You have the option to experience either a dinner cruise on the Nile, featuring a belly dance and folklore show, or the Sound and Light Show with additional cost.

Visit the Valley of the Kings, where more than sixty pharaohs were buried, before continuing to the Colossi of Memnon, two monumental statues that have stood on the West Bank for centuries. The tour continues to the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, built against the rock face and dedicated to one of Egypt's most notable female rulers. Return to the cruise and continue sailing towards Edfu.
