Overview
This 5 day Cambodia Tour from Singapore is based in Siem Reap and focuses on the Angkor temple complex, Tonle Sap Lake and the surrounding countryside. The itinerary includes a private floating village boat trip, city sightseeing and an Apsara cultural dance dinner, followed by extensive temple sightseeing across Angkor Thom, Angkor Wat and the Small Circuit.
The programme also travels north of Siem Reap to Phnom Kulen Mountain and its Thousand Lingas River, Grand Reclining Buddha and waterfall before continuing to Banteay Srei and Preah Dak Village. Meals: Dinner
- Arrive in Siem Reap, where your English speaking guide and private air conditioned vehicle will meet you at the airport and transfer you to the hotel for check in. The stay includes daily breakfast.
- In the afternoon, take a private traditional wooden boat on Tonle Sap Lake to visit a floating village. Depending on the tour programme and operating condition visit Chong Kneas or Kompong Phluk. See floating markets, floating houses, floating schools and aspects of daily life connected with the lake and local fishing communities. Continue with city sightseeing, which may include Central Market or time for shopping.
- In the evening, enjoy dinner at a local restaurant with an Apsara Cultural Dance Show before returning to the hotel in Siem Reap.

- After breakfast, begin sightseeing at Angkor Thom, the large ancient city built between 1180 and 1220 AD by King Jayavarman VII and dedicated to Buddhism. The visit includes the South Gate, Bayon, Bapuon, Phimeanakas, Sour Proath, Phreah Palilay, Elephant Terrace and Leper King Terrace.
- In the afternoon, continue to Angkor Wat, the major temple complex built in the early 12th century by King Suryavarman II and dedicated to Vishnu. Spend time exploring the temple before staying for sunset at Angkor Wat. Return to the hotel in Siem Reap.

- The afternoon programme continues with Banteay Samre, East Mebon and Pre Rup before returning to the hotel in Siem Reap.

- Travel north of Siem Reap to Phnom Kulen Mountain and Waterfall, approximately 55 kilometres from Siem Reap with a stated driving time of around 2 hours. See the Thousand Lingas River, Grand Reclining Buddha and waterfall. Phnom Kulen is also associated with Mahendraparvata, including its historical role as an urban settlement and sandstone source for the construction of the Angkor temples.
- In the afternoon, continue to Banteay Srei, located approximately 35 kilometres north of Siem Reap. The Hindu temple was built between 968 and 1001 AD under King Rajendravarman II and is dedicated to Shiva. The temple is known for its pink sandstone and detailed carvings. On the return journey, visit Preah Dak Village to see daily life in the Cambodian countryside before returning to Siem Reap.
