Itinerary

Highlights: Kansai International Airport, Transfer Independently Kyoto

Meals: None

  • Welcome to Japan. Upon arrival at Kansai International Airport in Osaka, make your own way to your hotel in Kyoto.
  • Once the capital of Japan, Kyoto remains the country's cultural heart, home to 17 UNESCO World Heritage Sites, more than 1,000 Buddhist temples, and hundreds of Shinto shrines. The city is known for its historic architecture, traditional arts, tea culture, and geisha heritage.
  • After checking in, the remainder of the day is at leisure. You may wish to explore Kyoto independently or visit areas such as Nishiki Market and the surrounding city centre.

Highlights: Kinkakuji Temple, Nijo Castle

Meals: Breakfast

  • Enjoy breakfast at the hotel and free time during the morning before joining your small group tour in the afternoon.
  • Visit Kinkakuji Temple (Golden Pavilion), one of Kyoto's most recognised landmarks and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Originally built in 1397 as a retirement villa for Shogun Ashikaga Yoshimitsu, it was later converted into a Zen temple. The temple's upper floors are covered in gold leaf, creating a striking reflection across the surrounding pond.
  • Continue to Nijo Castle, another UNESCO World Heritage Site and former Kyoto residence of Tokugawa Ieyasu, the first shogun of the Edo Period. Explore the castle grounds, fortifications, Ninomaru Palace, and the famous "nightingale floors" designed to alert occupants to intruders. The beautifully landscaped Ninomaru Garden adds another layer to this important historic site.
  • After sightseeing, return to your hotel.

Highlights: Fushimi Inari Taisha, Kiyomizu-dera Temple, Ninenzaka, Sannenzaka, Yasaka Shrine, Gion District

Meals: Breakfast

  • After breakfast, enjoy a full day exploring Kyoto's most famous cultural landmarks.
  • Begin at Fushimi Inari Taisha, one of Japan's most important Shinto shrines. The shrine is renowned for its thousands of vermilion Senbon Torii gates that create a striking pathway through the forested slopes of Mount Inari. Dedicated to Inari, the deity of rice and prosperity, the shrine is also recognised for its many fox statues, believed to be messengers of the gods. The full round trip hike to the summit takes two to three hours, but many visitors only walk 30 to 40 minutes to the Yotsutsuji intersection because the number of torii gates decreases beyond that point.
  • Continue to Kiyomizu-dera Temple, a UNESCO World Heritage Site perched on the hills of eastern Kyoto. The temple is famous for its large wooden stage, constructed without nails, which overlooks the city and surrounding landscape. Explore key areas including the Main Hall, Jishu Shrine, and Otowa Waterfall. The temple offers a different atmosphere throughout the year, from spring cherry blossoms to colourful autumn foliage.
  • Next, stroll through the preserved streets of Ninenzaka and Sannenzaka, lined with traditional wooden buildings, tea houses, local shops, and cafés that reflect the character of old Kyoto.
  • Visit Yasaka Shrine, the historic guardian shrine of the Gion entertainment district. Dating back more than 1,350 years, the shrine is particularly associated with the famous Gion Matsuri festival.
  • Conclude the day in Gion District, Kyoto's best known geisha quarter. Walk through cobblestone lanes lined with traditional machiya townhouses, teahouses, and historic restaurants. If fortunate, you may spot geiko or maiko making their way to evening appointments.
  • Return to your hotel after the tour.

Highlights: Todaiji Temple, Nara Park, Kasuga Taisha Shrine, Osaka Castle Park, Shinsaibashi, Dotonbori

Meals: Breakfast

  • Depart Kyoto this morning and travel to Nara, approximately 1.5 hours by road.
  • Your first visit is Todaiji Temple, one of Japan's most significant Buddhist temples and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The temple houses the Great Buddha of Vairocana, one of the world's largest bronze Buddha statues, standing over 16 metres high. The impressive Daibutsu-den Hall is also among the largest wooden buildings in the world.
  • Continue to Nara Park, famous for its hundreds of freely roaming deer, regarded as sacred messengers in Shinto tradition. Visitors may purchase shika senbei (deer crackers) to feed the deer while walking through the park.
  • Visit Kasuga Taisha Shrine, another UNESCO World Heritage Site and Nara's most celebrated Shinto shrine. The shrine is known for its hundreds of bronze lanterns and thousands of stone lanterns lining the forested pathways leading to the complex.
  • Following the Nara visit, travel to Osaka, a journey of approximately 45 minutes to one hour.
  • In the afternoon, explore Osaka Castle Park, one of Japan's most important historic landmarks. Originally constructed in 1583 by Toyotomi Hideyoshi, the castle played a significant role in Japan's unification. Walk through the castle grounds, view the impressive stone walls and moats, and enjoy views of the Main Tower and Nishinomaru Garden.
  • Later, enjoy time at Shinsaibashi-suji Shopping Street, Osaka's busiest shopping district, before continuing to Dotonbori, the city's most famous entertainment area. Bright neon signs, lively restaurants, waterways, and the iconic Glico Man sign have made Dotonbori one of Osaka's most photographed locations.
  • After the tour, transfer to your hotel in Osaka.

Highlights: Departure Day

Meals: Breakfast

  • After breakfast, check out from the hotel and make your own way to Kansai International Airport according to your flight schedule.

Hello Eiyda

We had a wonderful experience with Fayyaz Travels, especially our travel consultant Haroon, along with their partner agency in Japan and the drivers. Even though our trip was planned last minute, they managed to put together a superb and well organised itinerary covering Tokyo, Kyoto, Osaka, and Wakayama. Everything was handled seamlessly … from comfortable accommodations with breakfast to a dedicated personal driver who was available up to 10 hours a day, as well as all our attraction tickets. The drivers were punctual, professional, and made our journey so much more convenient and stress free. What we appreciated most was the great pricing, which still allowed us the flexibility to customise our itinerary according to our preferences. We truly appreciate the effort and attention to detail that made our trip smooth and memorable. We would definitely recommend Fayyaz Travels to our family and friends for anyone looking for a hassle-free and well-planned travel experience!

Fayyaz Travels Pte Ltd. did a fantastic work in curating and executing a beautiful vacation for my family during our February 2026 visit to Singapore. Although we never saw any of the Fayyaz team members in person, but they are on top of their game all the way through the trip. They run a tight ship of very well coordinated professional travel agency. I'd recommend them for fresh and repeat patronage.

Great family trip to Shanghai, Xi’an and Beijing with smooth overall organization, even with elderly parents. Fayyaz effectively helped with the organization, in particular with our need for a French speaking guide. Miko kept on checking with us during the tour. Christian (Shanghai) and Lily (Xi’an) were excellent — knowledgeable, engaging, and very attentive. Clear explanations, smart pacing, and well-planned visits. Truly top-quality guides. Beijing with Willie was significantly less effective. Limited explanations, difficult communication in French, and the 798 Art District lacked structure and curation. More preparation and guidance , and a guide who speaks French (as requested) would have improved the experience. Shanghai and Xi’an were highlights thanks to Christian and Lily. Will definitely recommend in particular if you have some special request. For language request, next time I will ask to speak with the guide to avoid paying extra for nothing or not much.

Yunnan, China - 22 Oct 25 to 29 Oct 25 This is the first time I have engaged the service of Fayyaz Travels. I came across Fayyaz Travels while looking for a customized private tour tours for me and my family. Have went through the review online and decided to contact them. After leaving my contact in their official WhatsApp contact, Miko contacted me and we discussed on the possibility of organizing a private tour for a small family size of 4 and the itinerary. After discussion, I have decided to give Fayyaz Travels a try as Miko told us that they are able to cater to our requests and after seeing all the good review online. The whole process of payment and pre-departure meeting went through smoothly and easily through online and my family were excited on our upcoming trip. Few days before our trip, Miko has assisted to set up group chat for us with the tour guides in China and provided us with all the information required through the group chat. Throughout the trip, Miko have been checking with me if everything is ok and require assistance. During the trip, there were once when we didn’t find the the local tour guide at Dali, China train station, Miko were prompt in providing assistance to me. I would like to recommend Fayyaz Travels for their service and anybody that is interested to have a private tour for their family/friends. This is my first time engaging Fayyaz Travels service and they didn’t disappoint me. Thank you Fayyaz Travels and Miko for organizing a memorable trip for me and my family.

I returned near end September from a tremendously enjoyable 11-day solo self drive vacation to Iceland (11th day is actually early morning departure from Iceland), all thanks and appreciation to Fayyaz Travels! In all my family and personal overseas vacations, I always did extensive research followed by bookings of the accommodations, attractions and transport logistics. However due to a last minute change of plans from a self drive vacation in earthquake prone Hokkaido to my dream self drive vacation in Iceland, I decided to engage a local reputed travel agency that specialises in personalised and customised travel. In April, after I booked my return Singapore-Frankfurt-Reykjavik tickets on Singapore Airlines and Icelandair, I contacted Tailwinds Travel, Chan Brothers and Fayyaz Travels, and only Miko from Fayyaz Travels persevered. After receiving the planning fee, Miko spent a lot of his time and energy crafting a 10-day self drive itinerary (10th day is departure from Iceland) that (1) takes me to attractions all around Iceland accessible on the Ring Road, including the renowned Diamond Circle and Golden Circle routes, with the occasional detours (2) puts me in 3-star hotels with private bathroom (3) hopefully fulfils my wish list of seeing the Northern Lights (September to March is the aurora viewing season), whale watching and hiking on a glacier (4) meets my intended budget. I extended the car rental for one more day (i.e. 11 days) to meet my original departure date, to which I did a simple itinerary of driving to attractions on the less travelled yet breathtaking Silver Circle route and Reykjanes Peninsula. Upon receiving payment for the package, Miko then coordinated with the Iceland Ground Team on “locking” the detailed itinerary, hotel bookings and car rental. Based on my request, Miko also included a refund package for Notice of Cancellation of Tour. About 3 weeks before departure, Miko kindly arranged a Teams telecon for pre-departure queries that I may have, of which I queried about the use of credit cards without the 4 digit pin code. On the same day, Miko created a WhatsApp group chat comprising me, him and Dean (from the Iceland Ground team) so that I am in constant contact with them throughout my Iceland trip. The WhatsApp chat group is so important and re-assuring for me! During the planning, Miko wrote “…The stop points that I’ve chosen are not only beautiful but also some of the safest and most convenient along the Ring Road. I want you to have an amazing experience without any stress, and I genuinely think this plan strikes the right balance.” Indeed, this was ever so true! Throughout my self drive in a Hyundai i10 manual car, I safely visited some of the most spectacular natural wonders of Mother Nature/Earth in the Land of Fire and Ice - waterfalls, geysers, mountains, lakes, canyons, coastal cliffs, hexagonal rocks, glacier (yes I hiked Falljökull Glacier), lava cave (yes I took a tour at Vidgelmir Cave) etc and of course the Northern Lights on only one of the ten nights in which I captured on my DSLR camera on a tripod using 15 seconds exposure (most of the hotels are outside the light polluted cities) as well as beautiful man- made attractions (e.g. Haligrimskirkja Church) I can never thank Miko, Dean and Fayyaz Travels for my extremely memorable once-in-a-lifetime Iceland adventure! To this end, I definitely recommend Fayyaz Travels to anyone seeking personalised and stress-free vacation as this travel agency has shown excellent professionalism, service, knowledge and dedication.
