Some people know exactly where they want to go. Others just know they need a holiday. A great Travel Consultant knows how to turn both conversations into a trip worth taking.

We’re looking for a Mandarin Speaking Travel Consultant to join our Sales team at Fayyaz Travels. You’ll work with customers from their first enquiry through to booking, understanding what they’re looking for, recommending the right options and creating travel experiences that fit their plans, preferences and budget.

You’ll be working across international destinations, flights, hotels, tours and tailor made travel, while collaborating with colleagues and travel partners to bring each trip together.

This role is initially being recruited as maternity cover, with the potential to develop into a permanent full time opportunity. We’re looking for someone who can build genuine rapport with customers, is commercially confident and, importantly, stays organised behind the scenes.

Fluency in Mandarin and English is important for this role as you’ll support communication with Mandarin speaking customers and partners.

Job Responsibilities:

• Manage travel enquiries from initial conversation through to booking
• Understand customers' travel preferences, requirements and budgets before recommending suitable options
• Create and present personalised holiday packages and itineraries across international destinations
• Sell flights, accommodation, tours, transfers, activities and other travel services
• Communicate confidently with customers in both Mandarin and English
• Build strong customer relationships and provide responsive, knowledgeable service throughout the sales journey
• Follow up on enquiries and opportunities consistently
• Work towards individual and team sales and conversion goals
• Identify relevant opportunities to recommend additional travel products and services
• Coordinate with internal teams, suppliers and travel partners to support customer bookings
• Maintain accurate and up to date customer, sales and booking records
• Keep up with destination knowledge, travel products, promotions and industry developments
• Support customers through the booking journey and ensure clear handovers to relevant operational teams

Skills and Requirements:

• Fluency in spoken and written Mandarin and English
• 2 or more years of experience in travel sales, travel consulting, reservations, tourism, hospitality or a related customer facing sales role
• Strong sales ability with a consultative approach rather than simply taking orders
• Confident understanding customer needs and turning enquiries into bookings
• Strong customer service and relationship building skills
• Excellent organisation, attention to detail and follow through
• Comfortable managing multiple customers, enquiries and follow ups at the same time
• Good destination knowledge and a genuine interest in international travel
• Comfortable working with booking systems, CRM tools, spreadsheets and digital communication platforms
• Strong digital skills and willingness to learn new systems and tools
• Additional languages are an advantage
• Experience selling tailor made holidays, international flights or multi destination travel is an advantage
• Able to work independently while collaborating closely with a wider sales and operations team in a remote environment
