Travel through Denmark, Norway, Sweden and Finland on this 10 Days Scandinavia Grand Tour from Copenhagen through Norway, Sweden and Finland. Operating on a shared tour basis with fellow travellers and departing every Wednesday, this journey combines Nordic capitals, coastal cities, fjord landscapes, mountain views and overnight ferry travel, making it an ideal introduction to Scandinavia.
Starting in Copenhagen, the tour continues through Odense and Aarhus before crossing the North Sea to Norway. Travel along Norway's western coast through Stavanger and Bergen, then journey into the country's famous fjord region with visits to Gudvangen, Aurland and Borgund. Taking a boat trip on Sognefjord, one of Norway's most well known fjords, is included as part of the experience.
The journey continues to Oslo and Stockholm before an overnight ferry crossing across the Baltic Sea to Finland. Explore Turku, Naantali and Helsinki, including a visit to the UNESCO listed Suomenlinna Islands. Along the way, enjoy guided city tours, ferry crossings and free time to explore several Nordic capitals at your own pace.

- Welcome to Copenhagen.
- Upon arrival, enjoy the included transfer to your hotel and free time at leisure. Information regarding the start of your tour will be provided during the afternoon, either directly by the tour team or through the information board located at the hotel reception.
- Hotel check-in is usually from 2:00 PM. If you require an earlier check-in, an additional pre-tour night may be required. Travellers who have booked extra nights will have their room available upon arrival and will meet the tour guide when the scheduled activities begin.

- Today your touring programme begins as you join fellow travellers for the shared escorted journey through Scandinavia.
- 07:30 AM – Begin a panoramic tour of Copenhagen. As the largest of the Scandinavian cities, Copenhagen combines historic landmarks and modern city life. See Tivoli Gardens, Christiansborg Palace, the terraces of Nyhavn and the Little Mermaid statue. The tour concludes at approximately 09:30 AM.
- 11:30 AM – Depart Copenhagen and travel towards the Jutland Peninsula, passing pleasant countryside landscapes and crossing the impressive 20 km bridge connecting Jutland and the island of Copenhagen.
- 02:00 PM – Arrive in Odense, a Danish city closely associated with Hans Christian Andersen. There is time to visit the Gothic cathedral, see H.C. Andersen's House, enjoy lunch at your own expense and take a walk through the town centre.
- 04:00 PM – Depart Odense.
- 06:15 PM – Arrive in Aarhus. Enjoy free time to explore Denmark's second largest city.

- Ferry schedules between Denmark and Norway may vary and timings may be adjusted accordingly. Warm clothing is recommended for the crossing. Norway uses the Norwegian Krone, however card payments are widely accepted throughout Scandinavia.
- 08:00 AM – Depart Aarhus and travel through northern Denmark.
- 10:30 AM – Arrive in Hirtshals. Enjoy a walk around this port town before boarding the modern ferry to Norway. The ferry usually departs at 12:15 PM and the crossing takes approximately three hours.
- 03:30 PM – Arrive in Kristiansand and continue the journey through southern Norway.
- 05:00 PM – Arrive in Flekkefjord. This town is known for its wooden houses, waterfront setting and small restaurants beside the fjord. Free time to explore.
- 05:45 PM – Depart Flekkefjord. As you go toward Stavanger, the scenery gets much more beautiful.
- 07:45 PM – Arrive in Stavanger. Enjoy free time to explore this coastal city.
- 08:45 PM – Transfer to the hotel and check in.

- Warm clothing is recommended during the ferry crossings. At times, queues for boarding may result in a later arrival into Bergen.
- 07:30 AM – Depart Stavanger. Stop at the Swords in Rock monument before continuing along the coast. Shortly afterwards, reach Mortavika and board a ferry across Skudenesfjorden, a crossing of just over 30 minutes. Continue from Arsvågen through coastal scenery and pass through the world's deepest undersea tunnel. On some departures, the stop at Swords in Rock may take place the previous day before arriving in Stavanger. In this case, the free time in Stavanger will take place before departing for Bergen.
- At approximately 11:30 AM, arrive in Sandvikvåg and board another ferry for a 45-minute crossing surrounded by fjord landscapes.
- 01:30 PM – Arrive in Bergen. Take the funicular to Mount Fløyen for views across the city and surrounding fjords. The remainder of the afternoon is free to explore Bergen.

- 07:45 AM – Depart Bergen and travel into Norway's fjord region.
- 09:45 AM – Take a short stop at Tvindefossen Waterfall, also known as the Trolls' Waterfall. This waterfall drops approximately 100 metres and local folklore attributes rejuvenating qualities to its waters.
- 10:15 AM – Continue towards Sognefjord, Norway's largest fjord and often considered the most beautiful fjord.
- 10:30 AM – Arrive in Gudvangen. Visit this small village before boarding the fjord ferry scheduled to depart at 12:00 PM. The ferry lasts approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes and offers views of steep cliffs and fjord scenery. Lunch can be purchased on board, on pax account.
- Around 01:30 PM – Arrive in Aurland (or occasionally Flam). Continue through forests, lakes, mountains and glacier landscapes. Travel through the 24.5 km Aurland Tunnel, one of the longest road tunnels in the world, designed to reduce driver fatigue.
- 02:30 PM – Stop at Borgund Stave Church for an exterior visit. Considered one of the best-preserved medieval churches in Norway, it features carved wooden details combining Norse and Christian influences.
- 03:15 PM – Depart Borgund.
- 07:15 PM – Arrive in Oslo.

- 08:00 AM – Begin a panoramic tour of Oslo with a local guide. The Norwegian capital combines modern architecture with classic buildings, surrounded by natural landscapes and large sculpture-filled parks. Known as the European Green Capital, Oslo offers a mix of history and contemporary city life. After the tour, enjoy free time before departure.
- 11:30 AM – Depart Oslo and travel towards Sweden, passing lakes and forest landscapes along the way.
- 01:00 PM – After crossing the border into Sweden, stop at a service area for lunch. Lunch is at your own expense.
- 05:00 PM – Arrive in Örebro, a Swedish town located beside a lake. The town is known for its historic castle and old town area.
- 06:00 PM – Depart Örebro.
- 08:30 PM – Arrive in Stockholm, the capital of Sweden. Located within the Baltic Sea archipelago, the city is connected by numerous bridges and ferries and is known for its historic districts and architecture.

- Today, enjoy a panoramic tour of Stockholm, a capital city built across 14 interconnected islands. Visit Gamla Stan, also known as "the city between bridges", the historic old quarter filled with notable landmarks including the Nobel Prize Museum, located beside Stortorget Square, Stockholm Cathedral and the Royal Palace. Whenever possible, enjoy views from Fjällgatan Viewpoint overlooking the city and surrounding waterways. Afterwards, enjoy free time to continue exploring Stockholm at your own pace. We recommend visiting the city's museums and parks. Optional visits to the City Hall and Vasa Museum may also be available.

- Tonight, you will travel on an overnight ferry. Please ensure you have your travel documentation ready, as it will be required during boarding. Prepare a hand luggage bag for the night, as your main luggage will remain on the coach. Warm clothing is recommended if you plan to spend time on the deck. Finland uses the Euro, and exchange facilities are available on board if you still have Swedish Krona.
- Enjoy a free day in Stockholm. We recommend exploring the historic centre and the Museums Island before departure.
- 05:00 PM – Transfer to Stockholm port.
- Board the modern Silja Line ferry, which features restaurants, bars, shops, entertainment facilities and comfortable cabins. The estimated departure time is 07:30 PM. As the ferry leaves Stockholm, enjoy views of the archipelago and its many islands. We recommend spending some time on deck and having your camera ready for the scenery. Overnight accommodation will be in twin cabins.

- Upon arrival in Finland, remember to adjust your watch. When it is 12:00 PM in Sweden, it is 01:00 PM in Finland.
- As the ferry approaches Finland, we recommend heading to the deck at sunrise to enjoy views of the Åland Islands, a group of forest-covered islands located between Sweden and Finland. Breakfast is included on board this morning.
- 07:30 AM – Arrive in Turku and disembark from the ferry. Finland's second-largest city has a strong Swedish influence. Enjoy time for a short walk through the city centre.
- 08:30 AM – Depart Turku.
- 09:20 AM – Arrive in Naantali, a seaside town known for its wooden houses and harbour atmosphere. Enjoy free time for a stroll.
- 10:45 AM – Depart Naantali.
- 01:00 PM – Arrive in Helsinki. Time for lunch and a free afternoon to explore the Finnish capital. Visit the old market area and observe the Russian influence found in some of the city's buildings and churches. Lunch is at your own expense.
- The boat trip to Suomenlinna, scheduled for Day 10, may occasionally be arranged on Thursday afternoon depending on the travel plans of participating passengers.

- 09:00 AM – Depart the hotel and travel by regular public ferry service to the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Suomenlinna Islands. This island group consists of six interconnected islands and is home to a historic fortress that once protected Helsinki. Enjoy time to walk through the fortress area and cross between the islands using the pedestrian bridges. Your guide will accompany the group and provide information to help you make the most of your free time. With your return ferry ticket, you may choose how long you wish to remain on the islands.
- On some departures, the visit to Suomenlinna may take place on the previous afternoon.
- Your Scandinavian journey concludes today. Please check your flight schedule carefully, as additional accommodation may be required for some departure times. Your guide can provide advice on the best public transportation options for your onward journey to the airport or city centre.
- Departure transfer is not included, if you require a transfer, additional nights in Helsinki, or wish to extend your holiday with another destination, please let us know and we will be happy to assist with the arrangements.
