  • We will arrive at Chengdu, from there we will take a domestic flight to Lhasa airport and transfer to the hotel. You can spend the rest of the day relaxing and getting acclimated to the local environment.

  • Morning: Explore the iconic Potala Palace, marveling at its myriad chapels, audience halls, and burial chortens of past Dalai Lamas, adorned with Buddhist frescoes and thangkas.
  • Afternoon: Visit the holiest temple in Tibet, Johkang Temple, built in 647 A.D., and stroll along Barkor Kora to admire and purchase traditional Tibetan artifacts, religious implements, and clothing.

  • Today's itinerary includes visits to two important monasteries in Lhasa: Drepung and Sera. Drepung, founded in 1416, was once home to 10,000 monks and served as a government center. In the afternoon, explore Sera Monastery, established in 1419, known for its monks' debates held in the courtyard from 6-7:30 PM.

  • Today's journey takes us through the picturesque Nyangchu Valley and past the stunning Yamdro-tso Lake and Karo-la glacier at 4960m. Heading west, we reach Shigatse, spiritually hosted by the Panchen Lama. The highlights include the breathtaking Yamdro-tso Lake and the Kubum monastery in Gyantse, featuring a magnificent 35m-high chorten adorned with decorative stripes and a golden dome.

  • Drive westwards along the Friendship Highway to Tingri, then navigate a rough 90km road under construction to Rongpuk. Pass through wild grasslands, cross rapids rivers, and traverse high mountains on the way to Everest Base Camp (E.B.C). If weather permits, catch glimpses of majestic peaks over 8000m, including Mt. Lhotse, Mt. Everest, Mt. Qowowuyag, and Mt. Mayalu. Overnight accommodation at Rongphu Monastery Tent or Guest House.

  • Early morning sunrise viewing at Rongphu to witness the spectacular Mt. Everest. Take a local bus or trek for 1.5-2 hours to Everest Base Camp to capture stunning photos. Return to Tingri via the Friendship Highway in the afternoon and continue to Shigatse for overnight accommodation.

  • Today we will explore the Tashilunpo Monestary and then head back from Shigatse to Lhasa. Overnight stay will be at the Kyichu Hotel.
