Highlights: Marienplatz, New Town Hall, Frauenkirche exterior, Viktualienmarkt, Odeonsplatz, historic city centre, Christkindlmarkt
- Explore Munich’s historic centre on a half-day walking tour with a local English-speaking guide. Visit Marienplatz and see the impressive New Town Hall, the exterior of Frauenkirche and the lively Viktualienmarkt. Continue to Odeonsplatz and other historic streets before enjoying the afternoon at leisure. If the Christkindlmarkt is open, take time to browse seasonal stalls and shop for Christmas gifts.

After arrival and hotel check-in, explore Getreidegasse, one of the Old Town’s best-known streets, and see Salzburg Cathedral and Residenzplatz from the outside. If the Christmas market is operating, spend some time browsing the stalls before enjoying the rest of the day at your own pace.

Hallstatt Day Trip from Salzburg
Highlights: Hallstatt village, Hallstätter See, historic village centre, lakeside walk, local shops
- Spend the day visiting Hallstatt, a lakeside village in Austria known for its traditional Alpine setting and views across Hallstätter See. Enjoy time to explore the village centre, walk along its waterfront and browse local shops at your own pace. The village’s compact streets and lakeside surroundings offer a different atmosphere from the larger cities on this tour. Return to Salzburg after your visit.
